Charles Owen is a Joiner and Cabinet Maker offering a completely bespoke service for freestanding and fitted furniture, having learnt under a high end firm whilst working on some of London's most prestigious projects and now working independently in Cambridge and the surrounding areas.
Typical projects include wardrobes, handmade kitchens, alcove units and more. From simple fitted cabinets to intricately designed ideas with integrated lighting, all in a limitless range of materials and finishes.
I work personally with my clients from design to completion, everything is completely hand made by me.
After an initial consultation and site survey I offer a full Computer Aided Design service allowing you to visualise your projects in their surroundings and to the exact measurements of the space.
These CAD drawings allow me to show you both variations of the design itself and of the look of different finishes, paint colours and materials. Alongside the drawings I can also provide paint, timber and hardware samples to view in situ.
Final CAD designs are used as production drawings, meaning the finished product is exact to your specification.

DESIGN
MANUFACTURE
All construction is carried out in the workshop just outside of Cambridge. I work in an array of materials including solid hardwoods, birch plywood, solid wood veneers and MDF.
I offer a full spray finishing service using polyurethane lacquers and paints providing a durable and immaculate finish. Wood stains and oils can be custom matched to existing samples and paints can be colour matched or mixed to any stock colour (Farrow & Ball for example), in a sheen level of your choice.
With all finishing carried out off site, disruption on installation is kept to a minimum. Full dust extraction is used where required enabling a clean and efficient process.
